IBBC’s Inaugural Agritech Conference 2024

As Chairman of the IBBC, Our CEO Dr Amet Selman lead a vibrant and engaging discussion during the inaugural meeting of the Agritech Committee.

Baroness Nicholson initiated the proceedings, setting the stage for a dynamic exchange of ideas and exciting opportunities. Our discussion unfolded in the timeless meeting rooms of the Royal Overseas League overlooking the beautiful open space of Green Park whilst other guests joined us from across the globe via our online platform.

The meeting benefited from the expertise of professionals spanning legal, venture capital, insurance, and agricultural science, as well as our chief development officer Richard Cotton. Each attendee offered diverse viewpoints and innovative ideas aimed at propelling the agricultural industry in Iraq forward with a focus on pilot studies that would study soil samples, whilst aiming to re-engage the youth in what could be a vital industry for Iraq’s future. Representatives from governmental departments and embassies provided invaluable guidance on the practical implementation of the ambitious plans.

The meeting proved to be exceptionally productive, and we are gratified to have played a role in its success. For those eager to delve deeper into the progress we are making, we invite you to subscribe to our newsletter on the website, where we will be sharing video highlights and providing a more comprehensive overview of the achievements of the IBBC, a body that we are so enthusiastic to be a member of, as we push for positive change in Iraq.
